I have just installed win me and everything was working fine for a bit. I had a bit too much stuff loading when i started ME so i went to the system information app. Previously i had no trouble with Sys info in ME but now it does not appear. I get the 'Help and Support' bar at the top of the screen but i also get the 'Page cannot be displayed' explorer screen underneath!!!

does anyone have any suggestions as to how to fix this very annoying problem?

as always your help will be much appreciated

Are you talking about System Information app in Control Panel (not System app) if so it is for SiSoft Sandra and you must have deleted or damaged it somehow, just reinstall Sandra would be the easiest.
If you are talking about System Configuration Utility (removing **** from startup) try Run- msconfig

It appears ME doesn't have the restore system files option but uses System Restore instead. You could try that and see if you have a capture at a time that everything was OK and not too far back or you could try as DRN said and install ME over itself which should retain your stuff and correct any ****.
The same thing happened to me with 98se and I reinstalled to fix it as system file checker found nothing wrong! http://sysopt.earthweb.com/forum/frown.gif
