What is the spec of a playstation, you know processor, Ram, graphics etc?
Also what is it on the playstation discs that identifys them real and not copied, why can't a writer copy the games correctly, without having to get it chiped?

playstation cd roms are written with a burner that is capable of writing bad sectors, these bad sectors in addition to a country code (written is an area a regualr cd rom cannot read i have been told...) make it hard to make backup copies that work without a chip to falsify some of the data being read by the processor. with the chip changing the pertinent data and a high quality cd copying program you should be able to work around the copy protection that sony has...

How about no, don't work around the copy protection Sony has.
How about buy the game and support the companies who make them. That sounds a lot better http://sysopt.earthweb.com/forum/smile.gif

It is legal to make and keep a backup of any software, including Playstation games. http://sysopt.earthweb.com/forum/smile.gif
