I am interested in starting my own ISP in the rural area i live in. A while back i read somewhere about it but have lost the addy. And i have done searches but the ones i found stunk. If anyone out there knows of a good site or book that tells what is involved in it. I would greatly appreciate it.
Thanks

I dont no any book, but here's what we usaully do, when setting up.
Assuming your on a budjet, find a good "ISP" for your ISP. All you have to do is connect to another well known ISP. Go to your telecom company and ask about available lines you could rent connecting you and your "ISP".
Setup a server and buy a lot of modems, about 20 would be fine.
All you have to worry about is the rent.

Oh, a 256kbps bandwidth would be fine, just to serve about 20. in fact it's fast enough for DUN.
