Do the ATA/66 hard drives take a 80pin ribbon cable or the standard ide 40 pin cable?? And if it does take the 80 pin, can it be used on a ide controller(40 pin)?

It takes a 80 pin and if you use the 40 pin you only get udma33. 80 pin will go in a 40 pin as the extra wires are interleaved earths.
