I don't know if I have a legal copy of Microsoft Office 2000 Professional and I need some guidance.
I bought this off the web at a discount. It came in a cd jewel case without the box (I knew that going in). on the back of the case there's a product key on a orangish-yellow sticker . There's no certificate of authenticity. The part number on the cd itself is different than what another sticker on the case says.
Running setup to install it, I do see the eula and it gives me a product ID number, whatever that is.
When I install it, it said it'll only run 50 times before I have to register it. But I'm afraid that if I try to register it, I'll get into some sort of trouble.
Am I the foolish victim of sw piracy here? How do I tell?
