Here's the problem: I like to use my PC speakers and mic for general use, but when I use things like Dialpad or Netmeeting, I like to switch to the headset with mic. My computer is placed in a somewhat hard to get to spot, so when I make the switch, it involves hands and knees.

Question: Is there a product similar to a printer or KVM switchbox that would allow me to turn a knob when I want to make the switch, or does anyone know how to make such a device. I can't imagine that it would be all that difficult, but I don't have much experience with that Radio shack stuff.

Thanks in advance for any help.

This (http://electronicsusa.com/mk3.html) might help.

Thanks for the link. The one you linked to didn't have the mic passthrough, but after very little searching, I found the correct one for me here:

I think I'll pick one up.

Radioshack has cheap extension cables to bring the conector into a more "reachable" spot... http://sysopt.earthweb.com/forum/smile.gif
