I've got a couple of sticks of ram I wanted to sell to a friend, I bought them as PC100. I've ben using them with my Cel 500 , at 75 & 83 fsb.

I was chicecking them with Sandra & it list them as

64 mb SDRAM 8-1-1-1RG1-1-1w
Samsung KMM374S823ATL-G2 1f5ed30064mb
9x(8mx8)ECC SDRAM CAS3 PC83-322810

Strange They seem to be working fine in his new comp I'm biulding @100fsb, but I dont want to sell him something other than PC100.
I've used PC66,100,133, just did'nt know there was Pc83.

Am I reading these Sandra markings right?

Nah, it just calls them PC83 because that's the FSB you're runnin' at. Don't worry - thems is PC100 http://sysopt.earthweb.com/forum/smile.gif

Thanks for the quick reply Alpha. They show as PC83 in his comp too, running at 100 fsb. Sandra says they're running higher than their rated speed. Are most ram chips ECC?

Most are not ECC.
I one had sandra tell me I had PC66, which i bought as PC100 running at 142FSB (142Mhz).
Now that same stick is identified as PC100 by Sandra2k.
