An HP Vectra 400 demo model.
it came with:

733 P3 FC-PGA
128M Infineon Dimm
Smart card reader and cards
10X DVD
Intel integrated chipset that says "Intel Secret" on it for the part number....

and last but not least:

Matrox G450 built in! ( At least thats what the description said...but I can't find the vid chip in on the motherboard )

It has W2K pre-loaded but I have to download the video drivers.

I bet Krusin is gonna be jealous!
( Gee...I seem to have a spare G400 DH here,,,)

HP sends us these things to see if my company might want to start using them, as a preview.

There is no cost involved.

have you tried overclocking the CPU BBA? check to see if it is multiplier locked or not. Some intel confidental ones are unlocked.

The bios has clock ratio and fsb options, but the CPU is locked at 5.5, and it's running 133MHz FSB already.

I did identify the chipset as a 815/Tinma SDRAM chipset with built in video ( and it still has an additional 4X AGP slot on the board )

I don't think it has a G450 vid chipset, I think that is an option HP can include though ( it does have the description of the 450 DH shipped in it's box though )

Still found no drivers from HP's eval site...I couldn't even get the site to come up today...must be HP's problem.

I got a new Play toy to!

My Computer Company stuck an PC chips M598LMR in my computer which has 2 PCI slots and 1 Isa Slot
I told them off that this mobo was a Piece of ***** and they sent me a new one. but they said i could keep the M598LMR! now I wont be using it (because Its a Piece of *****) so My Little Brother wanted a toy to play with http://sysopt.earthweb.com/forum/smile.gif So I Gave Him my mobo now he throws it across the yard and into the concrete fence http://sysopt.earthweb.com/forum/smile.gif it has lots of dents but still is in one piece If you have a mobo from PC Chips I reccomend you do the same! http://sysopt.earthweb.com/forum/smile.gif
or throw it away, torture it, or have a little fire over it and watch the chipsets explode much more fun than trying to get it to work!

So do what I did

Get Rid of any PC Chips mobo in some way or another. http://sysopt.earthweb.com/forum/smile.gif

enjoy!

Voogru: If It cant run Half-Life its not worth a #@*!ing penny

Well...no help from HP for drivers yet, so I went to Intel...which does not acknowledge the existance of this chipset on their sites...

I downloaded the latest Intel 810 video driver...it installed and played Q3A flawlessly. 39-40 FPS in default OpenGL 640x480, not bad for a built into the chipset video device. ( the chipset is no bigger than a normal BX chipset and has no cooling heatsink on it at all! )

I really like this chipset and want one setup in a dual CPU board! that would rock!.

I guess now I need to do memory benchmarks on it. ( I can only play with it in my spare time )
