I have just finished build my new PC with a PIII 750E processor I installed Win98 SE but found that it could not identify the processor correctly it states it as a

"x86 family 6 model 8 stepping 1"

Is this normal? is there a patch to cure this?

No patch as of this moment....You have to remember there were NO such thing as a p3 when Win98 was written http://www.sysopt.com/forum/smile.gif
