How do you check to see what size the registry might be????? Is it impotant to have a small one. You seem to be concerned about the size of yours( 50Mb)???? I also have 160 Mb and was just curious if I needed to do something or not. Thankx

50 mb??? I'm sitting at 8.9 mb, and I thought mine was fat!! I've got a lot of programs too, and I have'nt done an OS reload or a format in over a year....I guess I don't need to worry about the registry for a day or two yet!!

The registry is a lot bigger in win2k than in win98. Mine in win98 is 6.28mb and I clean it every couple of days.

plucky,

I think the file is system.dat and backups are system.da0 (.da1, etc).

How do you find the size of the registry? And how do you clean it?

You might try compressing your registry.
