check with the computer manufacturer. If you are using a DELL, MICRON, or something like that the tech support people will direct you to an ftp location where you can download their BIOS upgrade.

If you have a "built" system, check with the motherboard manufacturer.

There are many posts about BIOS in the Tech Support message board too

Recently I purchased a 20gig HD. When installing it I realized that the motherboard bios would not recognize the whole drive. After doing something novel for me (reading the HD booklet that came with the drive) I found out that the age of the bios was the reason I couldn't see all of the drive. Further research (award bios) i found that there are updates for the bios, but I'd have to buy them. My question is then, are there any sites out there that offer free bios updates?
