I'm looking for information ON:
NOrton Utilities and Diskeeper.

I'm trying to installed and run it in a NT 4.0 Server(Service Pack 3) to keep the deframentation level to a minimun. I visited the Product WebSite, but as we all know that's just advertisement.

I would like to know if anyone out there had any trouble with any of this products or prefer them over the other.

Please let me know, and if you can state a reason please do.

Thank you all,

Regards,
riverabr

Well, it is a hard question. In my opinion, Diskeeper is really designed for Nt but Norton is a more windows 98 application. In fact, Microsoft will include a version of Diskeeper into the next nt 2000. If you like to read a very objective review about both, I would recommend windows nt magazine website. They reviewed Diskeeper back in September. Good luck!

Diskeeper has been around since the early 80's. Diskeeper for the Mac was all they made then. When NT came out, they released Diskeeper for NT and thats all they made. In the recent years they added an Undelete program. Diskeeper is the disk defragmenter of choice.

I can't say much about Norton. I don't care for utilities in general. But I hear its helped recover data for many people.
