I got a pc from a guy and it was partioned with linux how do i get a dos partion back? right now i can't access the drives or fdisk with dos, i've tried all the tricks i can think of...any suggestions?

The linux copy of FDISK, not the DOS, should b able to to delete it. The NT4 installer can remove it it too.

did you try booting from floppy with a dos boot disk inside?
