Why are most WAREZ sites so ****? Where have all the good one gone? ;-)

So, I was sitting reading up on CD-Writers as I plan to get a SCSI 12x8x36 Plextor, and noticed lots of links on lots of forums go to WAREZ sites (guess it makes sense, after all if you have a CD-R... ;-))

Anyways, I followed some of the links... well actually a lot of them... and noticed they are all mainly **** with masked refferal links (well, hell if you can make money that way...) and connections to places for porn etc. or to places like I-Drive (which i hate for its daily limit).

Infact, none of the sites had any good software/games actually available for download!

So the question I basically ask, is does anyone know of good, tried and tested sites? OK, I also use IRC and know it RULES! for this sort of thing (leech!) but have never come across a good web site for this?
