Ptrper 05-31-2000, 09:42 PM Zildjians are nice and if you can't afford those, the Amir aren't too shabby either. Sabians have a nice, smooth sound. I don't care too much for the Paiste though... mattheadfat 05-31-2000, 09:45 PM right now i'm using ziljians hats, ride and a crash, and i'm using sabian (uggg..)hand hammered crash and a hand hammered wuhan china psyklone 06-01-2000, 05:12 AM you can't beat a zildjian, plain and simple. paiste's have a decent sound but i've broken/crimped too many of those to ever trust them again. an old set of z series zildjians were the best set of cymbals i've ever owned. akaBruno 06-01-2000, 06:43 AM I'll tell ya what beats a Zildjian... A good stick. http://sysopt.earthweb.com/forum/wink.gif psyklone 06-01-2000, 01:43 PM yeah ... like a 2B. http://sysopt.earthweb.com/forum/smile.gif Wiz 06-01-2000, 04:27 PM Zildjian is the best, bar none mattheadfat 06-01-2000, 09:52 PM poll: ahead sticks are for tards? yes or no? Inferior 06-02-2000, 04:22 AM You know that sabian was a branch off of ziljian? Sabians are really good and so are ziljians, if you could afford either one of these it would be great... http://sysopt.earthweb.com/forum/smile.gif Brangwen 06-02-2000, 04:20 PM Ziljian. Stop, check please. Great crash, ride and high hats from one who knows. Brangwen psyklone 06-02-2000, 04:26 PM inferior ... that may be true, but consider this: ford makes the fiesta as well as the mustang. which would you rather drive? http://sysopt.earthweb.com/forum/wink.gif mattheadfat 06-02-2000, 05:34 PM sabian owner is brothers (i think) with the zildjian owner. they devided up years ago. sabian are mostly made in canada, but i'm still a ziljian man, and i've never really discovered a really good cheap cymbal, cept wuhan chinas. Inferior 06-03-2000, 08:42 PM I think you mean "Festiva" but that logic doesn't apply here...... Sabians are wicked, just a "cheaper" version of Ziljian...Makes it possible to get excellent quality at a "better" price. By doing this they get more of the market... jman01pa 06-04-2000, 02:13 AM In all seriousness guys? What in the heck are you talking about? Ziljian, Sabian Paiste? Never heard of them? Anyone like to clue me in? J http://sysopt.earthweb.com/forum/smile.gif jman01pa 06-04-2000, 03:43 PM ok. Thanks. I was trying to relate them to computers. Inferior 06-05-2000, 06:24 AM To be more specific, they are cymbals...... http://sysopt.earthweb.com/forum/smile.gif mattheadfat 06-05-2000, 10:17 PM i have an 18" sabian HH medium-thin crash and an ziljian A 18" medium crash. i like the ziljian way more, i just have the sabian cause it's cheap. although i would recommend the sabian sonix for a beginner, they got great reviews in MD.
