I specifically need to access the hidden startup applications. I think something in there may be hampering one of my other programs...if anyone knows, give me the heads up will ya?

I believe msinfo is msinfo32. I am not at a 2k machine right now, so it is a guess, but try msconfig32.

msconfig32 doesnt work.

msinfo32 works, and i can view the startup items...I think...\software enviornments\startup programs...but I cant disable them. I found a couple things in there that arent even on my system.

I have been attempting to remove certain programs from being launched with W2K. Still clueless in Plymouth, Massachusetts. Any ideas?

That's an interesting question, as they like to say. Until somebody comes up with a better solution, you can always edit hidden startups directly in the registry using regedit. The pesky startups are listed under 2 keys:
HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows\Curre ntVersion\Run
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\Curr entVersion\Run

That's what I'm doing. As always with the registry, be very careful, making bad mistakes may render your system unbootable or unusable etc.
