I am not at a 2k machine right now, so it is a guess, but try msconfig32. AuraEdge 02-26-2000, 07:53 PM msconfig32 doesnt work. msinfo32 works, and i can view the startup items...I think...\software enviornments\startup programs...but I cant disable them. I found a couple things in there that arent even on my system. Brangwen 02-26-2000, 08:40 PM I have been attempting to remove certain programs from being launched with W2K. Still clueless in Plymouth, Massachusetts. Any ideas? Brangwen http://www.sysopt.com/forum/wink.gif happyhamster 02-26-2000, 09:03 PM That's an interesting question, as they like to say. Until somebody comes up with a better solution, you can always edit hidden startups directly in the registry using regedit. The pesky startups are listed under 2 keys: HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows\Curre ntVersion\Run HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\Curr entVersion\Run That's what I'm doing. As always with the registry, be very careful, making bad mistakes may render your system unbootable or unusable etc. SysOpt.com
