Here's a good one... I am running Office2000 on Win98. (The original install with all Win98 updates current)The problem is that the Font Sizes (in Word2000) won't appear or print to correct size. Keeping in mind that 12pts is the default setting, all my fonts will appear as 8pts size when I type them, and I have to set them to 16pt size in order to get the "appearance" of the default standard 12pts. (So basically, all my fonts are 4pt sizes off.) This problem is strictly confined to Word2000. I have no problems reading, typing, or printing in Outlook or Notepad. When I look into the "Fonts" folder in the control panel and double click any of the fonts, they all appear as they should according to size. I have tried "Repair & Reinstall", Removing Office2000 and Reinstalling, closing all programs down running in the backgroud, running virus scan, reinstalling fontext.dll, and numerous other possible remedies. I am left with the conclusion, that I may have to reinstall Win98(SE this time!) unless I can get any advice here. Thank you all for your time... 28/88

Don't know if you have already tried this or not, but what percent is your view in word set at. It can be adjusted from 10% to 500%. I think it might go to 75% by default leaving everything on your screen appear smaller than it actually is. 12pt X 75% = 9pt .....kinda close

BDog, thanks for the response. It is set to 100% and I have tried different settings here also. Just plain weird....(Thanks again!) 28/88

you might have a macro running that you do not know about that might be causing your problem...look for info on how to turn off macros (have forgotten) in the help and see if that fixes the problem...
