Hi. Would really appreciate some help on this ,I was having problems and decided to format my H/D and reinstall win95.
I went to dos C: > cd WINDOWS\COMMAND > Format C: /s After it had formatted I went
D: > D:>\WIN95 > D:\WIN95>setup /is Now then I got the welcome to Win95 etc and the wizard ribbon and the acceptance of the licence then got the Su 0013 error.
I have even formatted the C: (C: format /s) and aafter going this process I still get the same error message. I have also tried fdisking it and loading DOS from a floppy as well as using the bootdisk.
How can I reinstall win95 ????

OOps. Forgot to mention 1 of the problems I was having was she would come up with a great big awkfull looking thing like a magnifyed bedbug and said I had a boot virus and gave instructions that Nortons had found a virus and was shutting the machine down and I should (which I did) restart with a disk 1 of Nortons rescue disk and I gave her disk 2 as required but I still cannot get her to reload.
In Scot Muellers 'upgrading and repairing PC' I read that I should run a antivirus program.
I have not had this computer on the net for about 2-3 months and have not had strange disks in her so a bit puzzled how she got a cold.

Setup could not create files on your startup drive and cannot set up Windows. If you have
HPFS or Windows NT file system, you must create an MS-DOS boot partition. If you have
LANtastic server or SuperStor compression, disable it before running Setup. See
SETUP.TXT on Setup Disk 1 or the Windows CD-ROM.
This error can also occur if you try to install the retail version of Windows 95 over an existing installation of OSR2 on a hard disk using the FAT32 file system.
This error message can also occur if you have a FAT32 partition and you are installing
Windows 95 (retail version), which only expects FAT16. This error can also occur if you are running EZ Drive and you have the Floppy Boot Protection option enabled in EZ Drive. You should be able to resolve this error by disabling the Floppy Boot Protection option in EZ Drive.

As far as your virus problems, I would scan your floppies and make sure they are clean.

Also, disable the virus protection in the BIOS if it's not already.

Thank you Susan for your help. I have managed to get win95 reloaded by loading a win95 ver C startup disc on and then using a later ver (has usb support on the CD) how ever it still has a few problems.
I get a Dos screen with the following;
vnetsup.vxd -Press any key to continue.
mwredir.vxd - ditto
nscl.vxd - ditto
vredir.vxd - ditto
then I finally get Windows and it say,
nwnp32.dll missing can't run netware.
msnp32.dll ditto can't run microsoft network.
So what can I do now ????
Help !!!!
