I just upgraded to Mandrake 7.0 and really like it. I had Mandrake 6.1 prior to that. I have no personal experiance with Corel's dist. but I hear its very easy for the first timer to install. I would have to say Mandrake7.0 was a breeze to install as well!

I'm using corel right now... easy to install and use, but who cares it's all the same thing, and you can run the same programs on them... One good thing about corel is the
corel update feature, in which you can download and install things you didn't install before. It automatically installs the selected packages once they've downloaded. I don't know if other distro's of linux have this or not, but I thought it was a good feature...

davage,

HappyMaster also recommends the Mandrake distro and it sounds like the one for me as well. Seems it's Redhat with more polish and more extras. Corel is not as polished, is incomplete, and costs the most.

Mnx, Just FYI...Mandrake7.0 has a "web based" update feature as well http://www.sysopt.com/forum/smile.gif

Toad, Yep..Mandrake is a Much more polished Dist compared to any of the others. and with it based on Redhat any of the "RPM" moduals will work with it (except one's that would modify the base kernel)
