Hi all been away for a while, but need help on this one.

Just installed a philips PHI460 CDRW. Now when booting the login dialog is displayed, but before you can do anything it 'automatically' cancels itself and logs you on as the default user (user profiles are enabled).

It's as if the CDRW software install has set a 'skiplogin' flag in the registry (or elsewhere) to ensure the reboot following installation goes straight through - any ideas anyone?

If you then use log off/log on all is fine until you shutdown and reboot (or just re-start).

Steve

Nope, that didn't work.

Found a registry entry called LMLogon which was set to 0, tempted to set it to 1 and try that.

However matter is academic now as we now have 2 networked machines at home with proxy server/firewall for net access. As a result I have disabled microsoft famly logon in favour for client for microsoft networks.

Thanks anyway

Steve
