Agreed. Cambridge Soundworks are the BEST speakers I have heard for computers without spending an arm and a leg. Of course, I eventually gave up my Soundworks for a Kenwood Dolby Digital reciever, but they were great while they lasted!

Yeah, I played with 'em in Staples and Best Buy http://sysopt.earthweb.com/forum/smile.gif.

But nothin beats a custom stereo for gaming (if you can afford one) http://sysopt.earthweb.com/forum/smile.gif.

Custom with two Cerwin Vegas' with some 15 inch woofers would be okay.... http://sysopt.earthweb.com/forum/smile.gif

But I want a set of those speaks, heard they are really good, espically compared to those junky puny ones that comes with a computer deal, that my friend gave me, he nearly cried when I took them.... Cries of joy of course.... http://sysopt.earthweb.com/forum/smile.gif

That's funny you mention those specs, Inferior, because I have two Pioneer speakers with 15" woofers as my l/r front, my rears are two 6 1/2" and these are plugged into my Pioneer amp which is plugged into my computer. All in my small, square bedroom http://sysopt.earthweb.com/forum/smile.gif.

By having those monsters, I don't need any subs. I had to take down a picture hanging on my wall because it would rattle everytime I played music.

What stinks is that I haven't had a chance to try out the "surround sound" stuff yet. Sure, I can sit in the middle and listen/watch trailers and hear a bit come out of the rears but it's just not that good. I'm going to be getting a new comp with a 19" Trinitron monitor, SB Live, and DVD drive in about 3-4 weeks.

I can tell that it's gonna be some late nights watching the Matrix and "testing" my system. http://sysopt.earthweb.com/forum/smile.gif

Yes, I can see those outpowering a regular computer sub... http://sysopt.earthweb.com/forum/smile.gif

Thats what I will get eventually, something like that........ http://sysopt.earthweb.com/forum/frown.gif

Wish it was now though.... http://sysopt.earthweb.com/forum/smile.gif

Nice sounding speakers huh? Guess it's a good thing you didn't go for the Klipsch multimedia speakers or you might have exploded. http://sysopt.earthweb.com/forum/smile.gif
