Here is what I've been using. I'm a really light user but I've heard from others that run 100's of sites and have few problems. Easy to confiqure, gui interface to see the traffic to your site and it's free to !! http://www.omnicron.ab.ca/httpd/

this works with cold fusion.. here is the URL to the docs for it

Can somebody point me in the direction of some good web server software, that's relatively inexpensive and easy to use? It'll also need to run under Win98.

I use this on a home computer for hosting a small website.. Quick, Easy and has quite a few features.

Your your doing it for something other than your own personal needs i would suggest Apache's win32 Port.

Apache by far mades the best server software, and has the best price. Just take some time to learn how to configure it thats all.

One other criterion I forgot to mention. It has to be able to use the Cold Fusion API, I don't want to have to mess with the CGI interface for it, since I'm learning it as I go. But it Apache's Win32 port works like the one for Solaris, I can probably figure it out before my 30 day trial of Allaire's Cold Fusion Server runs out.
