I am using Windows 95b. When you put a audio CD in, Autoplay works fine as the CD starts playing. When I put in say Microsoft Word CD the autorun does not execute. I have to go into explorer to run it by double clicking on it. This problem also happens with all my game CD as well. My Primary Master has my 8.4Gbyte drive and a 3.2Gbyte on the Primary Slave. On the Secondary Master is a 8X CD player and on the Seconday Slave is my Yamaha CROM Burner. I have checked all the jumpers settings and they are OK.
I have also checked in Device Manager Tab and the Auto Insert Notification box is checked for both CDROMS.

The data CDS does support autorun. The autorun used to work fine with Microsoft Word, Monoply and all the other games.

On one of the CDS there was a autorun.exe and a autorun.inf files.

Do the games and data **** SUPPORT autorun? They hafta tell the comp to autorun for it to autorun... the cdplayer scans cd's when they're put in, and if it is an audio, go's to work. But data's hafta have built in instructions.

You can use TweakUI to be sure that Data CD auto-play is enabled. Also be sure that the CDs you are using support autoplay; how? Look for a file named autorun.ini on the root directory of the CD.

You can even make your own backup CDs with autorun menu with your burner http://www.sysopt.com/forum/wink.gif
