Ok i have Win95 OSR2(1997 edition), win nt 4 and win 2000 beta 3 build 1731 i think but not 100% sure on that.......I cannot get NT4 or W2k to detect my graphics card, an AGP s3Trio 3d card. it works fine in 95, i have followed the instruction to the letter i think with the same process for W2k as for NT4. whatever i try and do it always defaults back to the crappy VGA driver.....have rebooted soooo many times now im getting sick of it hehehe
Any ideas?
thanx in advance

Have you searched for Win NT/2K compatible drivers? Some times drivers for those OSes aren't always released.
Check the manufacturer website and see if they have released drivers that can be used on those OSes.

I have a problem. I was going to start a new topic but saw it kinda fits in with this one! I have NT4 and am looking at getting a graphics cards fir it with dual screen. Sadly cannot upgrade to XP. Wonding if anyone has any suggestions of known graphics cards that work under NT4 on dual screen?

This thread was 8 years old.
If you need dual monitors on NT, you will need a dual-head card that has drivers for NT. The biggest problem would be finding the drivers. No one is making drivers for NT or Win95 for a few reasons:
1. It's a 12-year old OS and no one uses it anymore for serious endeavors.
2. NT doesn't support DirectX in it's recent forms.
3. NT makes installing drivers difficult because it's not a Plug and Play OS.
You really need to consider upgrading to Windows 2000. There are many legitimate copies floating around unused. Make someone an offer. You can get it cheap or free - all you need to do is ask.
