I have heard that the best way to install Windows 98 is to first install 95 and then use the upgrade to 98. It is supposed to be less buggy. Personally this does not make much sense that a full version of Win98 2nd Ed. should be more buggy than and upgrade from 95. What do you think?! Thanks!

all i can tell you is my brother in law is making 6 figures a year in the computer programming industry and he reccomends the first edition of 98 and not the second as it is actually buggier than the first...worked for me better than second and eliminated alot of problems.....
I have used all three routes and have to say that win98 2nd edition is by far the best. I have even switched some machines to it that were formerely running NT because it is so stable.

An upgrade over an old version is never better than a clean install!!!!!Think about it! The only problems that se causes are some tricky network setup annoyances that are very easily averted.
