Underclocked 05-31-2000, 07:58 PM Go to techbargains.com and pick up a nice coupon from Buy.com (30 off 150 expires TODAY by the way) then, find the Plextor 8x4x32x ide drive for 187 last I looked. That solves your writer needs. You might consider the Visioneer 6400 scanner in the clearance section at Buy.com as well. It' at 99.xx and has a landscape layout. My experience with Visioneer has been good and the paperport software is excellent. I currently have an Epson 636u which is also a nice unit, but a bit higher. I have bought 2 HP scanners in the last month for others. Both cost around $90. One was Parallel (Win95/98) and the other USB (Win98). Both parties are very happy with them. I own a Yamaha 4416 SCSI CDRW, and would recommend Yamaha, though you won't get the above for $200. Check and see if they offer and IDE burners. You can use www.pricewatch.com (http://www.pricewatch.com) to find the best prices for computer products and they even list by brand name. Target 06-02-2000, 05:26 PM I agree with underclocked....he's given you two very outstanding choices that will keep you within budget. medo 06-02-2000, 09:05 PM Hello, Genius - ColorPage-Vivid ProII $ 105 AUS or (probaly) $65 USA.
