2031 and RC1. Stable as long as you don't shove drivers down its throat!

It's like Win98 was when it was Beta, if you used Win95 drivers it was much less stable, but still would work.

I like them...
We have se up a web/email server at my work with W2K Server... and 2 of us are using W2K Pro on our workstations....install went just beautiful, the only thing it didnt have drivers for was a crappy Diamond Sonic s90 sound card, but we went to aureals web site and got their newest drivers for nt and they worked fine...
the web server is running great no problems yet...(knock on wood)

installed beta 3, but was pissed off to find out it didnt have any drivers for my sb live! card. and creative isnt making any unstil the final release of win2k. i couldnt live without sound, so went back to win98 - just be aware of this if you have a sb live card!

Welcome to Win2000 http://www.sysopt.com/forum/smile.gif Hardware vendors are getting pissed off at MS!!! They are tired of two years of effort, and still no final product!!! LOL Win200 Beta does work, providing that you Hardware has the drivers for it. Check MS's site they have a compatability list of Hardware that will "work" under it http://www.sysopt.com/forum/smile.gif

Win2k also has horrible support for Voodoo Cards - I think only one is supported in the Beta 3 release - also other periph's like tv tuner cards and some sound cards have no drivers and will not work on NT drivers.

Good Luck

Ok, I think I am going to give it a shot. Anyone know where I can get my hands on a copy?

W2K is a huge resource hog! Don't get it if you plan to run the OS *and* applications at the same time...
