I tried to install The Sims on my second PC. The game asked for the key code. I do not have the original cd case. I know the number should be in my registry in the PC that it was orignially installed in. Can anyone tell me where I can look to find those numbers?

I believe what is he asking is if the key code is stored in the system registry, then he wants to know where to find it. Don't give him yours, just tell him where he might be able to find his key code (if he even bought the cd) in the registry.

Duhh!!! I misread!
You should find it by running:

regedit from the Start / Run button.

Look for something like:
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software

or something like that! I think there are two entries in the registry that has software keys or variables!
