MDK2 players - I need Help

Started playing MDK2 recently. Came with my Creative SB Live 5.1 and only recently did I check out this game - pretty cool so far!
I'm stuck on the first level - I hope I can explain this well.
I'm at the point where your on the large platform (after having crossed the series of platforms and gliding up the very long fan shute - pretty early in the game) and your fighting this huge spacecraft and other badguys that keep dropping from the sky.
I don't know what to do to get past this.
I've ran around and killed all the bad guys that drop down but they just keep coming and shooting at the spacecraft doesn't seem to have any effect.
What do I do??

Hi,
What you need to do is enable your Sniper Scope, and zoom in on the center of the ship. There are 4 "lock-balls" there that you'll have to take out. Next, there will be one more "lock-ball" in the very center to get...

I've played MDK2 all the way through many times, and found it to be a very entertaining game.
It will amaze you, confuse you, and probably make you want to chuck the CD out the nearest window. The graphics are excellent, and the story line is a hoot!

This walkthrough was written for the Dreamcast version, but it works for the PC version too. (Except for Level 9, which for some reason is different on PC.)

Wow, thanks deore101!
It would have taken me awhile to figure that out. You really have to zoom in to see those lock-balls. I finally got past that level now.
This is really a great game, like you said the graphics are vibrant and colorful and the story is strange but funny.
I'm glad I gave it a chance and started playing it.

Even with the walkthru, you'll find some areas nearly impossible to get through.
(the "lake" in Level 5 comes to mind)

Definitely.. MDK2 has great graphics, great puzzles, good humor and all in all great game indeed!
