Looking for game.

Haha, imagine that... in the gaming forum. Ok, anyway, you're all going to hate this question becuase i don't remember many of the details about what i'm looking for. It's strictly a multiplayer game in which you fly around in little space ships (in the 3rd person) and try to kill each other. You get rankings based on kills, and can upgrade your ship and it's weapons. I wish I could be more help, but i don't even remember the name of the thing. <awaits beatings>

Hmmmmm, I have no idea!! Im not into very many games with space ships and stuff (I do like Starcraft though) The only thing I can think of that is CLOSE to the game you describe is Star Seige, but thats not space ships, its robots..

Well, it's not a very large program. And the graphics aren't the best of course. I don't believe it ran in full screen either. I'm pretty sure it was windowed.

Yeah, it's not a mainstream game. That's why I had a feeling this would be a tough one. Maybe it will turn into one of Sysopt's unsolved mysteries. I still haven't given up hope though... i keep blindly stabbing through tucows and search engines as well.

There you can search by genre,year,and player perspective.

On the left side, click on "PC games".
Then, try Simulation>Sci-Fi/Futuristic>3rd Person Perspective.

Or,
Simulation>Flight>3rd Person Perspective.

Then, scroll down through the "Game List" on the right side to see all related games.
Maybe one of them will jog your memory?

Now I just realized I forgot to provide an important piece of information. <smacks forehead> And I didn't remember until I was looking through Moby Games. This game is freeware. So that makes it even more of a pain to find, I'm sure. BTW, that is a really cool site deore101, great recommendation!! Thanks for bearing with my incompetence y'all.

Hey Mr.Goodbytes, try this web page http://gamehippo.com/. They have all freeware games and alot of them at that. It used to be called %www.freegames.org% . I go there and try to find a game if I am bored of ones that cost me money.

The game that you are talking about sounds like Genjox, or Hell Fighter-maybe.
