Hi:I bought unreal tournament new from the store ,because I liked soomuch after playing the Demo for a while.
The Demo was Running great and all my Hardware compatibal with the game .
but after installing the Real games via the CD which I bought from Future shop and after the game installed successfully into my HDD .the game request to insert the CD#1 into my CD-ROM even if I put the CD#1 into my CD-Drive the same Error message appears.
I do not have any DVD or CD-Rw into my system.
The game is New from future shop.
Now :if I download the patch from unreal tournament website 436 it will fix my CD#1 situation or what shall I do.thanks in advance.

Are you using Linux (Which Distro) or a Windows "OS" (If you can call it that, which version?)

Thanks!

there are some sites where you can find patches for Unreal. it will then not ask for the CD:
http://www.elrazer.com/crack/cracku.htm
Download the appropriate patch and use it

He's using WIn98 cody, just re-read his post http://www.sysopt.com/forum/smile.gif.

I think it'd be wisest to take the game back and get another copy, it'll probaly save you the hassle later on. If you could test that specific CD in another machine you could verify it's definitely the CD not the machine though.

I assume that UT has an ini file (e.g. unrealt.ini) in it's folder (Unreal and Deus Ex do). If it has, open it and look for the line that contains your CD-ROM drive's letter and check that it's correct. If it's wrong, change it then save and exit. If it's correct then what Hellmund said http://www.sysopt.com/forum/smile.gif

Edit: Actually, I would also try the patch, just incase it's something to do with copy protection or something that could've been improved in the patch (you'll want the patch anyway for bug fixes, better performance and online compatability).
