Click to See Complete Forum and Search --> : IE Security zones, How do I reset?
A friend screwed up her settings trying to set restrictions for her kids.
She screwed up...
I never play with IE security zone settings, so how does one reset the settings? I think its IE4, but I havent looked at the PC yet.

Open up the internet options control panel. Click the security tab. There are options for the Internet, Local Intranet, Trusted Sites, and Restricted Sites. For the latter three, you can add and remove which sites are included by clicking the sites button.

It keeps asking for a password... How do I get rid of it?
I know someone posted a way to remove the password settings once, so I thought I'd ask.

hmm...try the *.pwl files in your windows folder. Those are the password lists used by windows. MAKE BACKUPS OF THE FILES FIRST!!! I'm not sure that will work and I'd hate for your friend to lose all of her passwords in vain.
If I'm understanding right, your friend set up web sites in the content advisor in the internet options control panel. If that's the case, she'll either have to remember the supervisor password she chose are remove her *.pwl file.
Hope this helps.
