Is there anyway to back a backup of Tribes 2?
I've tried Clone CD which normally works but this time, before its done loading all the graphics the game quits back to windows.

So you've already tried burning it?

Another idea - If you have a network at your house, you'll be able to put the game on another computer, just in case something happens..

I hope this helps (For some reason, i doubt it did http://www.sysopt.com/forum/wink.gif)

Yes I have tried to bunr it. I allways make a backup of my software but for some reason, this one refuses to do so.

Yes, I have a network at home but that still defeats my reasoning as you need the CD to run the game correctly ( no no-cd cracks avail yet)

Just to let you know I had no problems backing Tribes 2 up with Clone CD. Back Tested Good.

japerritt,
Maybe my media was bad. But I tried 3 times and it still would not function properly.
What version CloneCd are you using?
Did you change any of the setup in Clone CD?

Wombat,
I just have the demo version of clone cd. All writing is done at 2x. Its ver 2.8.4.3

I copy all mine to hard disk and then from hard disk to Cdr. I seem to get less errors this way. The only box or setting I checked was read subChannel data from data tracks.

I normally leave mine on default, but I'll try that switch and let you know.

checking that box is the only way I have ever been successful duplicating games.
Wombat, take a look at the problem I got posted under technical help. Its problably a easy one.
Keep in mind I dont know much about computers, infact this is the only topic i have ever offered advice on.

Ah-ha found a possible cause; my cdrom (36 speed) is not compatible with some of CloneCD's functions. I have two systems, one main and the other for burning. (the burning one I put together from parts lying around)

my cd rom doesnt read games right for copying for some reason. Rather than looking into it I copy to hd and then to cdr. It works for me. so i take it you were able to make a copy? Did you purchae the full version of clone cd or just the demo?

Thats how I normally do it as well, but when I checked the subchannel radio button I eventually had a error saying that my cdrom was not able to do that function. (time to update)
