Just curious - I dropped by Best Buy the other day to check out a Gameboy Advance. They had a demo out with Mario Advance. I played for awhile; it looked horribly similar to Super Mario Bros. 2 on my old "classic" Nintendo. Does anyone know if they just rehashed SMB2 for the Advance, or is it a completely new game?

It is Super Mario Bros. 2. All they did is improve the graphics of the graphically improved Super Mario Bros. 2 on the SNES (Mario All-Stars). At least Nintendo claims that the graphics are better than the one that was in All-Stars. I have tried it with an emulator and I didn't notice any improvement over the SNES version. Oh yeah, they also put some huge shy guys in it. Cool (not).

DEATH TO MARIO!

How old is that guy now? He must've been in his mid-30s when NES came out. Mario's approaching the big 5-0!

I think it was an okay rehash. They added some different options for continued play. (Coins/Eggs/Mario Bros. Multi-play). They did the same thing for the GBC.

Personally, I say bring on the remakes... BOF1&2, MegaMan1&2, Ogre Battle.
