The best looking game

What do u think the best looking game is? So far I'm tied between Medal Of Honor AA and Wolfenstien. Both look sooo good (i wonder how fast they would play on the now standard gts) Have any of you guys seen a game that rival (or surpass) those two games?

Deus Ex did look good.
and So did NFS:High Stakes
and So did MDK2.

I think I'd have to give it to MDK2 here.

An unlikely candidate, but I think they deserve it.

If you only count games that are currently released then I'd say either Giants: Citizen Kabuto or Mech Warrior 4. With FSAA and all the Textures on, Mech4 looks immaculate.

I like Alice and Undying. Some great visuals in that game. Duke Nukem Forever looks like it is going to have some great graphics.

I vote for Serious Sam. (The battle against Ugh-Zan at the end is awesome!)

MDK2 is right up there too, as is Giants.

Sacrifice is another good one.

Thats another one...But I think MDK2 is still smoother looking. While I was playing it, I said to myself, this looks too good, it cant be Direct3D, must be OpenGL. That ever occur to you in any games? As far as I'm concerned, the only decent graphics of Direct3D is the 3DMarks. OpenGL just rocks it at all other times.

Yes, I guess I'd also have to give the honors to MDK2- with Serious Sam a VERY close second.
I played through MDK2 in 1028x768x32 resolution at a respectable 70 FPS. It was sweet!
Serious Sam ran about the same speed, and running a benchmark within the game gave me a peak FPS of 125. That's the highest I've ever gotten out of a game.

The only other game I can think of like this, (and I'm still playing it)- is Heavy Metal Fakk 2.

Ah! I knew I wasnt the only one out there who picked up this bargain bin game!
Sure its got absolutely no replay value
but the 10 bucks is worth the graphics experience (and the few laughs) alone.

Not to mention I think its the only game out there that lets you use 4 guns simultaneously while not riding in a vehicle.

I dont think there was any spectacular technology in MDK2, they just did a VERY good job with what they had. Serious Sam had some awesome techology, but I dont think they did all with it that they could...ditto with Quake 3. It's not just look, its also the "feel".

As far as games currently available. I dl'ed the sacrifice demo and it looked great a little bugs in the demo but grapgically i had not seem much better the textures are detailed and theres just so many vibrant colors. I would love to play this game with all effects to max in 1024 but it would kill my vid card http://www.sysopt.com/forum/frown.gif can anyone play sacrifice maxed out at 1024 (or higher) with playeable frames.

well the most pleasing looking game is Black and White (running on my mate's 1.2G T-bird and GF2 Ultra) on Maximum detail. If you ignore the villagers and some not too nice textures on some buildings when you go REALLY close up then you'll see it's a beautiful game.

realMYST was amazing when it came out, and it's the best looking game I have played; too bad it was **** slow...
About 1 FPS in worst places.

Giants looks nice in screenshots, and I need to mention Max Payne, because it's made by finns.

Acutally I just remembered a game that caught me off guard, any one played FreeSpace 2? I remember being in awe as these two MASSIVE Warship started duking it out with Heavy Beam cannons for the first time on the Demo. I remember being amazed at how good it looked. Oh man... The GateWay, looks too good, my Computer is gonna self-destruct when it senses the disk approaching the disk drive. By the way where can i get some screens of Doom (the new one) i'm still replaying DoomII, i love all doom games!
