Comp. freezes when i play counterstrike?

I have a AMD 1gig, kt7 raid, 256, Gforce 2mx, and a DSL connection. I also have a 950 with the same specs that does not lock up as often. I tried shutting down zone alarm but that did not make a difference. Any ideas?

Try switching video modes. Try Direct3D, then if that doesn't work Try OpenGL modes. In my opionion I think OpenGL would be your best bet. And make sure you have the latest drivers for sound card, video card,ect....
