i think Netzero is better, I've tried blue light, and it's not as good. With Netzero, you get to use an e-mail client such as Outlook Express or something. http://sysopt.earthweb.com/forum/smile.gif

www.worldspy.com (http://www.worldspy.com) is the best free ISP from my experience. No banner ads and no $$$. I am sure they track your viewing habits but a small price to pay for the service.

i was using bluelight for about a month. yahoo mail has a pop3 server so you can get your email with your regular email program. its fine for a free isp but i hate watching a Judd sing about K-mart on my puter. just delete the mpgs it downloads and youll be ok.

Just signed up for one as a back up over here Pickle, ZFree, we don't have to pay for any connection or even a phone connection and can stay on line as long as you like, seems to work, Phone companies are going mad as they can't charge for connection to ISP at thye moment, part of a government act about local calls being free http://sysopt.earthweb.com/forum/smile.gif

I've heard of a few, but www.freei.net (http://www.freei.net) is a popular one.
Also Freeworld, which is offered by Excite, Lycos has their own free internet too.
And, if you into high-speed access, check this out--> http://www.freedsl.com/

Does anyone use freedsl? I went to the page and it looks interesting, but I don't want to fill out any forms if my line doesn't support DSL. How would I know?

Free DSL is only available in a few larger markets right now. It's questionable if they'll be able to stay afloat long enough to make the investment in the modem feasible, though.
I use both Worldspy and Frewwweb because neither have banners. Freewwweb has the most consistant kbs. I also have Juno for a back up, but last time I used it I got a hundred popups. Something new at Juno??? I downloaded an anti pop up program, but haven't tried it yet.
I've said it before, I'll say it again -
FREEWWWEB
My only ISP since Feb '97 & I'll swear by them!!

Worldspy is the most consistint but Freelane by Excite seems to be faster but you have to look at the goofy banner.
