greetings.

i have 2 machines with realtek 10/100 8139 nic cards. have the latest version of nhl2001
running(V 1.03) and this games runs choppy on my lan. both machines are hooked up to a 10/100 hub with a linksys cable router.
ive tried changing the packet number in the game from the default 30 to 24, 15, etc.
tried changing from client server, to peer to peer but no luck.
p3 700 on one
p2 350 on the other. any help is appreciated.
thanx

What are the specs for each machine? Ram, Vid card etc..., which machine is chopping?

Cheers,

asus v6600 on the p3 700 and diamond stealth
IIIs540 on the p2 350.
the game runs fine seperately on each machine with the hardware i have,
its when i have a lan game that the problem comes.

Maybe a LAN configuration problem?

Try updating your drivers it may work, you never know. Also make sure everything is set properly to the correct settings.
