CS Problems

This is a wierd one. I was trying to play CS last night, but could not figure out why it would not let me into any of the servers. Then I notice my cable modem box was not plugged into the wall. I plugged it back in, but it still will not connect to any of the severs. It says trying then retrying. I cannot even do a quickstart. I have download all of the new stuff and tried to update and refresh. Any ideas would be greatly appriecated because I want to play some of those new maps.

Yes to both questions. I reboted and nothing changed. I shut it down last night to see if it would have any affect and I'm behind Zone alarm. Should I shut it down prior to playing any games. I think I tried that last night, but i dont remember.

Hmmm, ZoneAlarm shouldn't have any problems with CS. BlackICE denies connections when set to Nervous or Paranoid. Using a router? A friend o mine had tons of problems with that.

Problem is that both Halflife and CStrike were both updated recently.
You need the Halflife 1.1.0.6 update and the Cstrike 1.1 update. I think It updates to 1.1.0.6 automatically within Halflife/CStrike, but it doesnt update the CStrike to v1.1
Try www.halflife.net (http://www.halflife.net) for the patches.

I'll try the patchs, but I think I've already downloaded for both. One problem Im having is when I hit refresh or update it pulls up all of the IP's for both CS and halflife? I only want to play CS.

Got any ideas?

Press Refresh, as refresh refreshes the servers that you current have. If you press Update, it would search for all the Half-life/CS Servers.

you got it filtered to only CS servers?

you may want to try kali or gamespy, either of tehm is mUCH better than the half life server browser
