Cant load my cataclysm game

Please help when i try to load my game it goes to the loading screen and when it finishes it flashes the game for a second then quits to my desktop. I started a new game saved it and then loaded it and it worked fine. What could be wrong please help I would hate to start from the beginning again.

what is your system? From the info you gave, it could be either you need new drivers for your vid card or a patch for the game.

It could also be you need to reinstall. I don't have the game so I don't know what this would involve. It's a good game! I played the demo! It had me hooked for ever!

I use a p3 600 128mb ram a riva tnt2 32mb agp video card.
I just installed two video card drivers a one patch for the game and still the same problem. I will try a reinstall if it lets me keep the saved game or i guess il just have to start again thanks for the help though I appreciate it.

Your system is almost excactly like mine! I have 192Mbs though. heh

Also before you install (actauly before you uninstall), you might try to reinstall DirectX, and defragment your hard drive.

I remember getting to the last mission of some Mech type game and having the last mission fail to load. It nearly killed me! It took so long to get their!

I uninstalled and reinstalled the games were still there but they still didn't load . I have since started a new game and just beat it yesterday (those ion fighters rule) no problems.
