I'm just asking this question because I'm unable to get passed the splash screen.. the game doesn't load. It says that it's compatible with Windows 2000 at the "NT Compatible" site... but the official site says that it is NOT supported on NT4/Win2K and there aren't any patches for this game for Windows 2000! I'm beginning to wonder how reliable the rest of the **** is on that NT Compatible site! http://sysopt.earthweb.com/forum/frown.gif

Thanks for the great link! Thanks to the link that you provided, I found the way to run Need For Speed 5 on Win2k! Thank you very much cyclone2! http://www.sysopt.com/forum/smile.gif

All I had to do was delete a DLL file name gimme.dll.... It was that simple! You guys have to try this game... I'm not much of a gamer but this game has the most awesome graphics I've seen for car racing games.. A huge improvement over Need For Speed 4 "High Stakes".

I might sound stupid for asking this, but is Need For Speed 5 the same as the Porsche Unleashed? Or is it a different game? I should be shot for asking this because Need For Speed is one of my favorite games... I've Played III, High Stakes, V-Rally 2, and the Porshce one, so if there is another one im missing, please hit me in the head and tell me to go buy the darn thing http://www.sysopt.com/forum/smile.gif
