Crimson Sky

I just bought Crimson Sky for my son the other day and can't get it to run on Windows 2000. I visited some sites related to Crimson Sky and says that it runs on Win2k.... My problem is that it gives me an error message after installation that it needs DirectX 7 or higher. Win2k comes with DirectX 7... I also tried installing DirectX 8 and still the same error message appears on the screen when I try to run it. I tried it on 4 different Win2K systems and still the same thing... Anyone have any ideas what I'm doing wrong here?

No, but a bump. I've got the game, but haven't installed yet.

By the way, I had to had to give up trying that NT4 deal.

Gee, sorry to hear that, Mike... I wonder what the heck was wrong with that NT4 setup deal? I've installed NT for tons of systems and never ran across that problem, yet.

I have the demo for the game and it wouldn't run on my PIII 600 TNT2-32mb until I installed the latest drivers (Detonator3) and DirectX 8. But now it runs great!!!

Actually, I already have Detonator 3 V.6.50 with DirectX 8 on a LeadTek GeForce256 DDR, but no luck....
