I was thinking about what daffy said in another thread about being able to make certain jumps at higher fps, and I was wondering if anyone knows if this is the reason that some people are able to make a jump from the ground out near the rail water up to the lower of the two tiers and then get up to the 2 rocket packs instead of having to go all the way around the wall...

can anyone tell me for sure, cause I've tried, and I just can't get it.

Tell you what man...first off NO that's NOT an fps trick...thats a simple ramp jump. Secondly...if you show up on my server tonite, I'll teach you to do it in about 5 to 10 minutes depending upon how fast you learn. Did I mention I teach Quake2?

Well normally I wouldn't be so insistent on a sign of good faith, but this week was my clan's "world tour" we've collected server IP's from 15 different countries that we're going to play on and last night was Chile. Since I speak Spanish, I was kind of looking forward to it. It's cool though, I'll have the server up at 5PM CST tonite.

The players aren't that good, but neither is the ping. We whooped up with an average ping of 670. Our HPB players were hitting 1200!!!

I actually caught the game and like I said it was pretty hilarious that we creamed everyone on this server with average pings in the high 600's!! Heheh guess Q2 is just catching on down there!!

I think to do that jump to the two tiers you need to run up from the respawning place, and double jump using something! (i forgot!) i did it a few times, but wasn't very consistent with it either.

I had to take it down for a bit last night, well after 10:00PM CST.

If you want to try again, it'll be up all night tonite, but I probably won't. I'll be on from about 5PM til about 8 or 9PM Central Time.

P.P.S. No double jump involved Willie...it's a strafe jump off the ramp and I have a really simple method that I teach for doing it just about every time.
