I have half-life and I had played it for a long time. I finally make it all the way to Gonarch's Lair (I think the second to last level). Then I add a program to put some bots in a deathmatch game so I can mess around in a multiplayer scenario (and to play Frozen's level http://sysopt.earthweb.com/forum/smile.gif) But then after I do that, and try to go back and play my real game, I load it and I have the console activated, and it shows the stuff loading while it is loading the game. But then it just starts going down the screen reading:
"Can't find proc: something@something"
and just goes down the screen about 80-120 times with a different thing in place of "something" each time. When it finally loads, things are messed up. Things are dark, lack of lighting, Gonarch has a wall in front of him where there used to be a hole he ran through, I can't kill him, etc. What does this mean? Have I ruined my game somehow? Could I just download the missing files or whatever?

Please help, I've spent countless hours behidn my computer screen blasting aliens and grunts in that game and I really don't want to lose it all or have to start over http://sysopt.earthweb.com/forum/frown.gif. Thanks.

What might have happend is your old save games are no longer compatible. Have you tried any of your other save games? I've heard of that type of thing happining in Quake2, and since HL has the Q2 engine it would figure.

Sorry! I know the feeling!
