I saw you on a server Loki, when you correctly identified the [SO] tag as belonging to SysOpt. wow, that was neat.

As for the dedicated server, well, Starmaster hasn't had it up lately for some reason, I believe he is having trouble getting the Admin Mod program to run correctly, it isn't essential that we have this on there, but after seeing the benefits on other servers, I knew that Admin Mod could be a useful tool.

I will try to have starmaster get the server up ASAP so we can continue in our fragging bliss.

Hey, if anyone else has a dedicated high speed internet connection and has a machine that they can use to host another server, we could get multiple Servers going. The server doesn't have to be a Counter-Strike server, but make sure it can run a game that SysOpters play. It is preferrable that the server be dedicated. Also, the server would be an "Unoffical" SysOpt server, as in, it would be created and administerd by a SysOpt user, and not an actual SysOpt Administrator, so unless SysOpt sets up their own game servers, or endorses and supports ours, there are no "Offical" SysOpt servers.

I know that Anandtech has some game servers that SysOpters play on, but I would call them SysOpt servers.

Well, I've got a T3 connection to the outside through my school (Michigan Tech), BUT the network acceptable use policy expressly forbids hosting any multiplayer games outside the dorms, so I can't use it for you guys. I'd love to, believe me, but they won't let me.

We can host anything as long as no one on the other side of their routers (or whatever they have, I'm not sure on the exact hardware) is using their MichNet bandwidth to play.
