I have recently upgraded...
now have t/bird 1000 with 256 ram.

also a GF2 GTS....
does anyone else with similar specs use this game? when i bump up all things to max, i still seem to get not so smooth performance..

if i change the colour from 32bit to 16bit, it makes for a smoother ride.... but still im concerned....

also, i have an MS IntelliMouse plugged directy into USB... and am noticing a slight delay when playing UT... which you all know can make all the difference!!

I do not experience such problems in other games...

Any suggestions?????

Thanks,
Trogo....

Just wanted to say that I have a Tbird 1GHz with 256 PC133 RAM also. But I only have a Voodoo3 3000 which is 16-bits... I set it to 800x600 and it's clear and smooth as glass. You really don't need it at 32-bits... unless I'm missing a ton of detail already...

Like you said, it's fine there right? I have almost every detail at max, even showing decals... you'll live (no pun intended). http://sysopt.earthweb.com/forum/biggrin.gif

true, true... it looks sweet like that too,,,

altho.. i admit... i am wanting to pump it all up just so i know i can.... and i really should be able to do it... i will live....

but it would be nice to know what, if anything, there is i can do to improve things... hmmmm...

i just wanna be able to make my friends jealous for a little while... before they all upgrade.. that not too much to ask, is it?? http://sysopt.earthweb.com/forum/smile.gif

My UT doesn't get "high" frames in most resolutions.. only get at max about 150fps.. only a few seconds of that.. and it averages at about 60fps in 1024x768x16.. usin' gf2 mx and duron 800..
