I am just a little miffed here! I cant keep this soilder of fortune gold running over 5 minuts,they say it is because i have a SBAWE64 sound card,well chit man,i have to buy a new sound card for every freaking game i buy!!!!Anyone find a workaround to this problem?

Okay okay,,So i bought a new SB128PIC sound card,still the game quits after a few minutes.So i go in and drop all the graphics to LOW,now it is running but looks like chit http://sysopt.earthweb.com/forum/smile.gif System is a Asus p5a,AMD500mhx,Voodoo3-2000 Video card 128 meg ram,running winme,SOOOO im guessing i need a kicking video card.What is a good one so i dont have to replace it agin next year?

You amy want to try the GeForce 2 MX Card, it offers good performance for a great price. The performance is between a GeForce 256 SDR and a GeForce 256 DDR.. Have you tried updating all your drivers for your hardware it may help?

Hi,

I have a Voodoo 3 2000 running on a celeron 400 and soldier of fortune runs like a dream. You may want to check that nothing in your case is overheating. This would explain why it runs OK with graphics on the low settings but not the high settings.

Well i went and got a TNT2 Pro and now soilder of fortune,is running great on high settings.. Thanks for the help..

Yes I would definitely say your video card is overheating. I have a GeForce2 MX and all the games run beautifully.
