I just D/L Zonealarm 2.1, now I keep getting the message "This Firewall has blocked access to port... from I.P. 208.137.2.7". Well, after seeing it a few times I started recognizing it. After a little bit of looking, I discovere it was my DNS Search order, what exactly is happening?

That is my provider, crown.net. Why would they be trying to access my computer several times a page?

What did you use to run the trace? You actually got the name of the name of the person doing the trace???

Hi noresul,
from my @home readme and all of thier help html and even realplayer explainations I gather that your isp may be using a local caching server.
meaning your pages load faster cause they aren't comming off the net live- their coming off of the cache of the local cache server from whoever the last person on your subdomain who went to that page.
@home suggests you hit reload or refresh if you want to view a *live* copy of the page.
(maybe)
@home does a dns sweep every half hour- I've found I can be connected with out using any of thier software, and denying the frequent dns probes does nothing to my browsing save make it harder for them to help me fix something if I cant get to a page and I need to call em on the phone.
So I think you can just tell zonealarm to not keep telling you about this periodic probe.
Or I also think you can add the 2 dns servers ip to your ZA security/advanced list of ip that are safe (or words to that effect)
My linux group tells me the only problem with not using the @home software is its hard or impossible to get mulitple pop mail- ya gotta use the windows stuff to get *all* your mail.
If Im off base here, hopefully someone more experienced will correct me, hence the *maybe* above
it was kinda neat to see a help file be in realplayer format- streaming video is way cool
