There are lotsa games for small children on the playstation. One that comes to mind is 'A bugs life'.It's a 3d platform game (kinda like Mario on the Nintendo64,only a little easier).A bugs life is only one of many Disney games on the Playstion. The Crash Bandicoot games are also great. They're even quite cheap, they were brought out a 2nd time as 'Platinum' because they sold so many copies of them. They cost only $25 a piece in the Netherlands. They're simple to play, even simpler than 'a bugs life'.There is almost no reading required in the game,it's all about running and jumping. In this case the sequals are better than the original (there is CB 1,2 and 3).There is also a very good race game called Crash Bandicoot Racing.Very easy and fun to play, also great for small children.

I can't think of any other games right now,but I will post if any other games comes to mind.

Drop into Walmart to see the latest titles as well as some classics, also look around in your area for stores that sell used playstation games [some even take tradeins]
Also your local Buy and Sell type of paper may lead you to someone that does mods or sells the chips.
Also check out video rental stores for selection as well as "try before you buy" http://sysopt.earthweb.com/forum/smile.gif

I suggest checking out ebay or Bestbuy, CompUSA, etc. Look at their web site, call them, or go to the store (ebay excluded) and you can see what is good...
Or just ask a store clerk and i'm sure they'll be able to help you out

www.modchip.com (http://www.modchip.com) is the place for the mod chip.

You`ll have to fit it yourself, and depending on what model number it will determine how hard it is to chip it.

A low wattage soldering iron is recommended, say 15 watts with a nice fine tip.

It`s fairly easy to put one in though. If it`s a brand new PS they are the most difficult.

Voids any warantee though!

My kids have gotten alot of enjoyment from Spyro .(so have I).

Also you can check your local video store. sometimes they will sell games that don't get rented as much.

Those plugin Parallel Port mod chips are only for earlier models (serial number like X7500-001 or something and lower). The new PSOne and the last revision of the older look cant use them.
