Can someone tell me about this gaming rig im gonna build

Dunno what motherboard... want a ABIT KT7-Raid but I have heard the horror stories...
I have a 10 Gig Hard drive(Quantum Fireball ATA-33) ill upgrade to another 10 gig @ATA=100
CD-ROM
128MB PC133
Voodoo3 3000 PCI

This rig is strictly for Half-Life: Counter-Strike played at 800x600.
Please tell me if it is good enough and your opinions.

That rig will work great, however if you can get a better video card I would try...but the V3 3000 is a great card - don't get me wrong...

With the better vid card, like a GeForce 2 MX you could play in 32 bit color and possibly 1024x768 resolution.

The processor is definitely good enough for you, and the KT7 is a great board, but if you're not going to overclock or use the RAID abilities on the board I wouldn't spend the extra $$$ on it, and get a different socket-A board - there are a lot of great ones out there that won't break the bank like th KT7 will.

First of all, what horror stories about the Abit KT7-RAID?? I wouldnt go with the V3 for Half Life (an opengl based game), Geforce2 MX is the way to fly at 800x600.

Cool! I just bought the Voodoo for like 100 bucks so I don't want to quit on it while its only like a month old to me. About the Abit mobo, it is in the motherboard forums... I think its called: Abit KT-7 review> not the usual stuff, or something.
